Hey, what do you think about teacher?? anybody wants to be a teacher?? I think teacher is an awesome job ever!! well, even that's hard to get much money from that job (but,there's way to get more, I believe that), you do such a cool things (lol). For example, you can ask your students to do what do you want (in good things of course) you know, they pay for you, so we can say, you make your boss do what you want (lol rotf). Other cool thing is you get the holiday as long as students get, don't you?? which is longer than any other jobs. See, teacher is awesome job!!
Now, I'm going to share what I did before. A couple of days ago I discussed with few of my friend about how to be a good teacher and how to manage the class, because I wanna teach in courses as part time job, well you know to get some more money (hihihi). After the discussion, I did micro teaching (MT) which was I pretended to teach in front of the class and the students were my friends, and also all of my friend did that. there was 3 judges (not actually the real, only my other friends which already become a real teacher). After all of us done the MT, we gave some comments and suggestions for each other. So, I got many conclusions how to be a good teacher and how to manage the class, especially for teaching in informal school. Here some what I got;
- Make the student relax before study; that's a good point to start teaching, because the students are gonna feel comfort and that makes us easier to deliver the lesson. How to make students relax?? build the relation between you and the students. ex/ ask them "how are you??" "are you tired??" "how did you get here??" or "have you got lunch??" those questions can make them relax because they feel like they get your attention.
- Prepare well; Before you teach, the lesson must be prepared. So, you'll know what are you gonna teach and you won't get confused. If you look confuse in the class, the students will doubt your ability. And when you explain the lesson, make it step by step, ex/give the theory first then the example then give the exercise, don't confusing your students. The other things are prepare as many example as you can, so when student asks you about the other example, you've prepared the answer, especially for math, you gotta give a lot of examples and exercises to make the students understand perfectly.
- Very entertaining; Entertaining teacher is interesting teacher. Most of students like that type of teacher, because they won't get bored easily and they'll pay attention on you. Because it's specialize for teaching in course, you'd better be different with teacher in school, I mean don't be too serious. Make some jokes sometimes, and be creative.
- Give your attention fair; don't give your attention just for the superior student. Give your attention to every single students even they sit in the corner of the class and almost unable to see..
- the last think sounds unimportant but actually need to do; Write the full sentence; don't write like this "m'beri" "m'bagi" ect
